2.4. The IDERI note Administrator

The IDERI note administrator is a program (intadmin.exe) that is typically run by administrators who create messages which are then sent to client computers. This program can be installed on multiple computers within an organization and is typically run from a different computer than the one where the IDERI note service is installed. In order to connect to an IDERI note server, the user first has to provide the name of the computer where the IDERI note server is running and then can either connect with the current user context to this server or instead provide an alternate set of credentials.

Figure 2.3 shows the server connection dialog that appears immediately after starting intadmin.exe.

After a successful connection to an IDERI note server is established, intadmin.exe will show the messages that have been created on the server, much like in Figure 2.4.

The user can then select a message and double click on it in order to modify it, or select “New” from the “Messages” panel of the ribbon’s “Home” tab in order to create a new message.

Figure 2.5 shows the message dialog for a message that the user modifies. The same dialog with blank entries will appear if the user creates a new message.
